1st episode featuring Saya to ship with 1st Little Busters! Refrain DVD/BD on January 29
Warner Bros. began streaming a commercial on Sunday for the first DVD and Blu-ray Disc volume of the Little Busters! Refrain television anime series. The 'Saya version' video previews the first episode of the eight-episode Little Busters! EX anime that is being bundled with each of the volumes.
The first volume is shipping on January 29, 2014, and will include one Little Busters! EX episode featuring heroine Saya Tokido, and it will also include Visual Art's Blu-ray Disc game Nishizono Mio Misshitsu Satsujin Jiken? (Mio Nishizono's Locked-Room Murder Case?).
The adaption, entitled Little Busters EX, is composed of eight episodes. There are seven volumes of Refrain released in all, and one episode was released with each volume (except for the final volume, which contains the final two episodes). Little Busters! Ecstacy was an updated adult version of the original Little Busters! romance adventure game with added and modified scenarios. The cast includes:
Harumi Sakurai (Angel Beats!' Yuri, H2O ~Footprints in the Sand~'s Hayami) as Saya Tokido
Sora Tokui (Tantei Opera Milky Holmes' Nero, Fantasista Doll's Katia) as Sasami Sasasegawa
Keiko Suzuki as Kanata Futaki
Tokui and Suzuki will be reprising their roles from the Little Busters! anime, and Sakurai will be reprising her role from the Little Busters! Ecstacy video game.
The original Little Busters! game inspired the first Little Busters! television anime earlier this year, and Crunchyrollstreamed it into several countries as it aired in Japan. Sentai Filmworks is releasing the series on both DVD and Blu-ray Disc.
The second Little Busters! television anime, Little Busters! Refrain, premiered in Japan in October. Crunchyroll is streaming the anime as it airs in Japan, and Sentai Filmworks will release the series on home video in 2014.
